HUMANATURE
PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION

Supporting the People Who Support People

Meaningful work can be deeply rewarding and it can also be emotionally demanding.

Whether you're supporting clients, leading a team, caring for others, navigating workplace complexity, or carrying significant professional responsibility, everyone needs a place where they can step back, reflect, and make sense of what they're holding.

Professional supervision provides a space:

  • To pause, reflect, process, and reset

  • To reconnect with yourself and what you value

  • To be supported to grow both personally and professionally

  • To sustain your wellbeing while continuing to do meaningful work

At Humanature, I am passionate about helping you thrive in the work you care about most.

A Different Kind of Supervision

Many supervision services focus primarily on case management, compliance, and professional oversight. While these are important, my approach goes beyond the work itself.

I am interested in the person doing the work.

  • How are you, actually?

  • What impact is your work having on you?

  • What patterns are emerging?

  • Where are you thriving?

  • Where are you becoming depleted?

  • What strengths are available to you that may not be fully utilised?

  • How do you continue caring for others without losing yourself in the process?

My approach combines over 15 years of experience across counselling, EAP, workplace wellbeing, leadership development, people leadership, and positive psychology.

This enables us to explore not only your professional practice, but also the organisational systems, workplace relationships, leadership challenges, and wellbeing factors influencing your experience.

Humanature provides professional supervision in Christchurch, Banks Peninsula, Canterbury, and online throughout New Zealand.

My Approach

My supervision style is warm, collaborative, reflective, and strengths-based.

Together we may explore:

  • Professional challenges and decision making

  • Workplace relationships and team dynamics

  • Ethical considerations

  • Leadership responsibilities

  • Burnout prevention and wellbeing

  • Professional identity and confidence

  • Managing complexity and uncertainty

  • Boundaries and self-care

  • Reflective practice

  • Strengths and growth opportunities

Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help people identify what is working, what matters most, and how to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Supporting Sustainable Practice

The quality of support we provide to others is influenced by the quality of support we receive ourselves.

Professional supervision creates the space to pause, reflect, learn, and continue growing without carrying the weight of the work alone.

Because supporting others should not come at the expense of your own wellbeing.

Why Humanature?

Because when we invest in the wellbeing and growth of the person behind the professional role, the positive impact naturally creates a ripple effect that extends into your relationships, your leadership, your team, and the people you support.

What makes Humanature different is the breadth of experience I bring to the supervision space, combined with a strengths-based, positive psychology approach grounded in Solution-Focused Practice.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a:

  • Solution-Focused EAP Counsellor

  • Area Manager

  • Workplace Wellbeing Specialist

  • People Leader

  • Leadership Development Coach

  • Group Facilitator

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

This diverse experience enables me to support people from multiple perspectives.

I understand what it feels like to sit alongside someone navigating personal and professional challenges.

I understand what it feels like to carry responsibility for a team, support others through change, and make difficult decisions in complex environments.

I understand organisational pressures, competing priorities, workplace relationships, conflict, uncertainty, and the emotional demands that often accompany caring, helping, and leadership roles.

As a result, supervision with Humanature extends beyond professional oversight. It provides a reflective space to explore both the work you do and the impact that work has on you.
